Paul & Marty host the Awards

Paul & Marty host the Awards

Wednesday, June 10th,  Starlight Productions‘ own Paul Rose and Marty Wisher were pleased to host a special presentation at the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce monthly business luncheon.  The Guest of Honor was the Fort Myers News-Press‘ resident cartoonist Doug MacGregor.  Following Doug’s keynote address, Paul & Marty were called up on stage to present a “Lifetime Achievement Award” to Coco the Palm Tree, mascot for the new website What’s Up Cape Coral, co-sponsored by the Chamber.

Fighting for Attention

Paul & Marty spoofed themselves as ego-driven actors, fighting for the spotlight as they showed clips from the various films that Coco had been a part of, including The Matrix, Titanic, Star Wars and Casablanca.  The whole presentation was the brainchild of Brent Saitta of Saitta Productions, who wrote and edited the special clips of an animated Coco into the various films.  Chamber member Jason Barrett from Da Bomb Entertainment provided the lights and sound system, and Paul Rose scripted the shanigans for the Starlight players.  We’ll be posting a link to the video shot of the event as soon as its available.

Local Musician Tapped for Light Soundtrack

Guy Noegel

Guy Noegel

Cape Coral singer/songwriter Guy Noegel, also of the bands KYDeity and Skindot, has been recruited by Starlight Productions’ Teresa Cobb to create a soundtrack/score for our almost completed film, Light.  Guy’s bands have a great reputation and have received local radio airplay, but one of his dreams has always been to create music for films.

We’re thrilled to have Guy as part of the Light team, continuing to create an independent film using entirely local (Southwest Florida) assets.

Our hope is to have the movie completed by mid-July.

Musicians Needed!

•May 28, 2009 • Leave a Comment

As we near the completion of our first feature-length film, Light, we are looking for someone to fill in the gaps on our score.  The scenes available on this site have temporary music to enhance the scene, but we need a professional-level musician to handle the scoring for the film.  As with all of our other positions, this would be for film credit only, but could be a big boost for the person or persons who help us out.

To submit your resume and get more information, please contact Tim (Tim@StarlightstudioProductions.com) or Marty (Marty@StarlightstudioProductions.com)

For weeks, we’ve talked about Max, Jake’s, so far unseen, pet that was created as a result of an explosion in science class.  But for a variety of reasons, we kept Max under wraps so far.  No longer.  It is time that the world sees Max in all, okay, most of his glory.  Thanks to some clever model work and a couple of long nights of puppeteering and compositing, we are now proud to show off the most unusual character from Light, Max:

Puppeteering by Timothy Gunderman & Paul Rose, Jr.
Compositing and editing, as always, by Timothy Gunderman.
